Weighing 29.53 carats, the D color, potentially flawless stone highlights a New York Estate, a distinctive collection comprised of classically styled jewels by Van Cleef & Arpels, David Webb, Tiffany & Co., and Bulgari. Also featured in this Estate, is the “Botticelli” necklace made by Van Cleef & Arpels which suspends two faceted amethyst drops from a foliate motif collar, a piece selected for the catalogue cover for its dramatic design and rich jewel-tone colors.
Collectors will discover a tempting array of jewelry styles in this sale ranging from turn-of-the-century and period jewels to more contemporary designs.
